Local students competed in the Iowa State High School Speech District Competition over the weekend, with many moving on to the State Competition. Indianola took 11 competitions to the district competition, with 11 of them receiving Division “I” ratings, while Pleasantville had 12 competitors overall with 7 Division “I” ratings who will move on to the state competition. Those who received the Division “I” rating will compete at the Individual State Speech Contest at North Scott High School on March 9th. A full list of competitors can be found below.
