After the first round robin of the Little Hawkeye Conference, the young Indianola Indians girls basketball team saw themselves in fourth place with losses to the three teams above them and looking to improve their standings on the second run through. A series of weather cancellations that saw the Indians cancel their games against Oskaloosa, Dallas Center-Grimes, and Pella had the Indians behind the top of the conference even further. But what hurt the Indians the most this season, was a come-from-behind effort by Pella Christian where the Indians had a lead as large as 11 at one point before scoring only four points in the fourth quarter and lost 49-47. The loss hurt the Indians in the long run, as they finished a half-game behind the Eagles, and in fifth place overall in conference play. Indianola as a whole finished with a 9-11 record, and graduated three seniors.
