There are still some late start Mondays on the schedule in Knoxville; and students have the opportunity to learn about proper flag etiquette courtesy of the American Legion.

On some Monday mornings, representatives of the Legion welcome kids to the Methodist Church before school starts; they show them a video demonstrating the proper ways to fold and display the American flag.

Then the students watch a live demonstration by the Legion members present; once they see how to fold the flag, they’re given an opportunity to try it themselves.
