Though none of the three seniors for the Indianola wrestling team that saw significant varsity time made the state meet at Wells Fargo Arena, the contributions of the seniors should not be overlooked. Brock Elbert wrestled at 138lbs on the season, racking up a 23-25 overall record, while Ben Teasdale at heavyweight went 13-25 on the season. Having some more success in the wins column on the mats were Wes Hogard as 220lbs who went 29-18 on the season falling just short of the state meet, while Hunter VanderWaal at 160lbs also fell just short with a 29-18 record. The Indians also performed well in conference play, garnering three conference championships.
