A tribute to former Iowa Senator John C. Culver will take place this evening at Hubbell Hall in the Kent Campus Center on the Simpson College Campus. The tribute will feature public figures, former colleagues and staff members, Culver Fellows, and friends of Senator Culver. Among the former colleagues to attend include former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie Campbell, former congressman Jim Leach, and former Chief Legislative Assistant to Congressman Culver, Judy Riggs. Reflections on the career of Senator Culver will also be read, with the event moderated by Kathie Obradovich from the Des Moines Register. The tribute begins at 7pm, and will be livestreamed on the Culver Center Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
