The Knoxville School District will soon see the departure of one employee who has done two jobs; and they’ll be looking for two people to replace her, sharing one of them with two other school districts.

Jill Van Woerkum will be leaving at the end of the school year; she has done double-duty as both Curriculum Director and Human Resources Director, sharing the latter job with the Pella school district.

Knoxville Schools Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News they are searching for her replacements, and may enter into a three-way sharing arrangement.

“We are looking for an HR director with the Pleasantville and Pella school districts, and that will be the only hat that person will wear. And then we’re also going to be looking for a new curriculum director here in Knoxville as well.”

Pearson says Van Woerkum is venturing away from Knoxville to become the new assistant superintendent in Dallas Center-Grimes.
