A tribute to the late Senator John C. Culver was hosted by Simpson College Wednesday evening, with friends, colleagues, and Simpson Fellows in attendance. Memories were also shared, as included in the forum were reflections on the career of Senator Culver from those unable to attend. Among the former colleagues to participate include former Iowa Attorney General Bonnie Campbell, former congressman Jim Leach, and former Chief Legislative Assistant to Congressman Culver, Judy Riggs. Culver was elected to Congress and served from 1965-1975, before serving a term in the Senate from 1975-1981. He passed away in December of 2018.
