A sure sign of spring is coming to Knoxville High School on March 8th, as Knoxville Hospital and Clinics hosts its third annual Spring Into Health Kids Health Fair.
Children and adults are invited to the fair from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Katrina Nelson with the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics tells KNIA/KRLS News over 25 vendors will have items and information on display, all related to improving your family’s health…
“Who have put together a wide variety of interactive activities for the kids to take part in; they can expect to learn the importance of health and fitness, as well as they can chat with Miss Mary Strawberry about nutrition,” Nelson says. “They can test their germ-fighting skills, (and) they’ll learn about internet safety from the Knoxville school personnel.”
Adults will also find some eye-opening information, as they go through the “What to Watch For” exhibit; this shows adults common hiding places teens may use, symbols or signs they may not recognize and tips on how to watch out for any illicit activity which may be going on with your adolescent.
There will also be a raffle, as two new bicycles will be given away; one boy’s bike and one girl’s bike will be raffled off, complete with new helmets for the winners.
