Heather Hulen, who has been serving as Interim Executive Director of the Indianola YMCA, has been named Executive Director by the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. Hulen previously served as the Member Engagement Director in 2018, before taking over the interim position.

Hulen said of her new position “As someone who lives in and values Indianola, I view my new role as an opportunity for the Y to further strengthen the community we serve. The team of staff and board members here are incredibly dedicated to building meaningful relationships and making a positive impact. We are going to continue finding ways to reach out to members of the community and make their lives even better through the work we do at the Y. I’m excited for what the future holds.”

The Indianola YMCA is hosting a celebratory reception on Wednesday, March 6 from 4-6pm with the community invited to attend.
