After a brief warm up through Saturday, another burst of arctic air will impact the region with near-record cold starting Sunday. Air temperatures could dip to as low as 10 below zero overnight Sunday into Monday morning, with wind chills as low as 30 below zero possible. Frostbite can occur in as little as 15 minutes in those conditions if proper precautions aren’t taken. Before the cold air comes, a round of light snow is possible overnight Saturday, which may cause travel issues Sunday morning. Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for the latest winter weather information.
