The Pella School Board reviewed plans to change the drop-off and pick-up areas at Madison Elementary at their most recent meeting. Superintendent Greg Ebeling says the $300,000 project would adjust and expand the current parking area to allow for safer conditions for students as they come to and leave the building. The key change would separate parent traffic from buses and divert traffic to move in safer patterns overall. Ebeling says the project will be completed sometime this summer, with the new layout in place by classes in August.
