Seven Central College track and field athletes earned U.S. Track and Field Coaches Association all-Central Region honors across 11 events for the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor season. To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region or be part of a top-3 relay team. Sophomore Mary Gray achieved the feat in both the pentathlon and the 60-meter hurdles. Kiki Pingel joined her in the pentathlon. National qualifiers Courtney Kruthoff and Kennedy Morris were recognized in the high jump and weight throw, respectively. A fifth sophomore, Holly Forrester, was honored in the triple jump. Junior Will Daniels represented the men’s team by being all-region in four events: Heptathlon, high jump, 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles. Kyle Pape made the list in the 800-meter run. Daniels, Gray, Kruthoff, Morris and Pape will represent Central at this weekend’s NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships in Roxbury, Mass. Daniels will only compete in the heptathlon and high jump as Gray only does the Pentathlon.
