With the passing of the budget by the Indianola City Council at their most recent meeting, the City of Indianola has set their prioritizations for Fiscal Year 2020, which begins on July 1st. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the city had several needs filled with the budget, but what was most important was being responsible with taxpayer money.
“We are here to provide a service to the taxpayers, and we are gonna be really good fiscal stewards of their dollars. We spent a lot of time thinking through, researching, and understanding what our needs were, and we wanted to make sure we were having that data-guided discussion with the council to set those prioritisations. The investment of taking the taxpayer dollars is making sure we are spending it wisely and in areas that are needed to ensure the community stays as wonderful as it is.”
