Three winners will claim a total of $3,500 in prizes from a raffle being conducted by the Rotary Club of Knoxville.

The Rotary Club has started its “End of Winter” raffle; from now through the end of April, you can buy tickets for $10 each, with the proceeds going towards Rotary-supported projects.

The grand prize is a package of gift cards and certificates worth $2,000; second prize is a package worth $1,000, and third prize is one for $500. All of the prizes have been purchased directly by the Rotary Club, from 14 local companies.

Jim Butler with the Knoxville Rotary tells KNIA/KRLS News the club is using this raffle to promote local business as well as support for local causes.

“Several of us sat down looking at an idea of what Rotary could do to raise funds this year, and we decided to come up with a raffle that actually helps promote local businesses in Knoxville,” Butler says.

“The prizes that people can win are all local prizes from local businesses; so we thought that would be a great way to support them and get more people…shopping more local.”

Tickets are $10 each, and can be purchased from any Knoxville Rotarian; the winners will be announced on April 30th.
