A record setting day was in the books for the Simpson Indoor Track and Field team over the weekend, as Trey Thompson crossed the finish in 8:45.62 in the 3,000 meters, which is the third fastest mark in program history. The senior was two seconds shy of taking over second and seven away from the top spot, which was set by Dave Halferty in 1988. The 4×400-meter relay of Travis Tupper, Jordan Coughenour, Kirk Wicks, and Emmitt Wheatley ended in 3:22.25 for seventh. Craig Garrison ended his indoor season with a time of 22.84 in the 200 and Chase Wetterling clocked a time of 53.27 in the 400. The Storm indoor season is done, and they will compete March 23rd at the Grand View Invitational.
