Students from Indianola and Pleasantville will attend the State Individual Speech Contest today at North Scott High School. In order to get to the state competition, students had to perform in front of a panel of judges and receive a Division “I” rating in their chosen field. Overall, Indianola will send 8 different events to state, including poetry, improv, and spontaneous speaking among others, while Pleasantville will send 14 including storytelling, radio broadcast, and literary program.
