Survey data from an ongoing countywide childcare needs assessment will be released later this month. The Pella Area Community and Economic Alliance will host a presentation about the final report on Wednesday, March 20th from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Graham Conference Center in Pella, while the Marion County Development Commission will share the same details at 3014 East Main Street in Knoxville on Tuesday, March 26th from 9 to 11 a.m. Over the past eight months, partners within Marion County have been working with First Children’s Finance to research area childcare needs and develop a strategic plan to address those needs. The survey data has been gathered from area parents, employers and childcare providers. Since January, there have been four strategic planning sessions with multiple leaders from the community, and the two presentations will detail the next steps to address concerns or shortfalls in the county.
