Those planning to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day holiday with alcohol at their celebrations are reminded to do responsibly. Lt. Paul Haase with the Pella Police Department says anyone planning to drink should have a plan to get home safely. He says additional officers will be on the roadway to crack down on drunk drivers, as well as those who are speeding, not wearing their seatbelt, or driving while distracted. Haase believes the best way to make sure everyone is safe is to designate a driver or call a taxi to ensure a safe route home.
