A flood warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Warren and Madison Counties, lasting until 10:45am Thursday. According to the National Weather Service, County roads near the North River near Norwalk are flooded and impassable due to an ice jam. In addition, another round of moderate to heavy rainfall will impact Warren and Madison Counties into the afternoon. This rainfall, along with continued snowmelt will lead to additional flooding impacts along small creeks and streams and low lying areas. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. The National Weather Service recommends not attempting to cross flooded roads and to find an alternate route.
