Warren County Conservation hosted a trails safety course Tuesday evening, with additional information presented by Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Indianola Police Department, and Friends of Indianola Trails. Kelsey Longnecker with Warren County Conservation tells KNIA News that communication when you are out on the trails is key.

“Be prepared before you go out, it’s very important. Make sure someone knows where you are going, what route you are taking, what trail you might be on, how long you might be gone, and when you are going. Just so that they can kind of have an idea of where you might be, and so they can check in on you if something goes wrong.”
