The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Wednesday afternoon to consider approval of the Warren County Engineer’s Office to use reserve funds to purchase more gravel. According to the Warren County Engineer’s Office, the current repair cost to damaged Warren County roads will surpass the amount of budgeted gravel for the rest of the fiscal year. Board Chair Crystal McIntyre tells KNIA News the board approved spending of 350k reserve funds to purchase 20k tons of gravel, which will be spread as soon as possible. The board recently approved a 10 ton embargo on Warren County unpaved roads, which expires on March 22nd.
