Indianola High School student Andrew Winjum recently completed his SPRINT Independent Study class, and made a presentation to the Indianola School Board about blockchain technology. Winjum tells KNIA News in its simplest form blockchain is a new technology to make databases more secure, and that is what he wants this to be a part of his future.

“I believe that blockchain technology is going to be the future for databases. Big data is probably going to probably be if not the biggest industry, then one of the biggest industries in the world in the near future. I plan to take my blockchain experience to college, take some more upper-level blockchain classes, and get a masters in computer science with an emphasis on blockchain technology.”
