The Knoxville Girls Track and Field Squad has a lot of experience and athletes in events that could win a lot this year. The Panthers are coming off of a South Central Conference title in 2018 and look to repeat that this season. Assistant Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they work toward the conference meet to max out the points and give themselves a chance to win it. It all starts with junior Katie Keitges, who looks to do well in multiple events this spring. Also Abbey Jackson, who will run the 200 and 400 races. Spalvec adds the field events will be rather young this season. The Panthers get underway on March 28th at Clarke.
