The Pleasantville, Indianola, and Melcher-Dallas girls’ track teams were among KNIA area teams to compete at the Iowa State High School Girls Classic on Monday.

Melcher-Dallas’ J’Lyn Knutson had the top finish placing 11th in the 3000m with a time of 10:59.10 and she also came in 16th in the 1500m. DoraMae Bennett came in 25th in the long jump for the Saints. Indianola’s Grace Gioffredi made some noise in the 60m dash placing 12th in 8.43 seconds. Rayna Sickels was also a notable finish in 19th in the 60m hurdles. Pleasantville’s 4x100m relay team placed 30th and Taryn Brent was 61st in the long jump with a leap of 12’9’’.
