The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Monday.

A request from Pleasantville Golf and Country Club for $9,000 of water and operational funding was approved. The public pool run by the club operates at a large loss and provides a service for the community. This money comes with the expectation that the pool will continue operating through this summer. If the pool is closed for financial reasons the city will not be obligated to pay.

Wages for the town’s police force were approved for the next year.  

There will be a public hearing before the council’s next meeting on April 15 regarding a potential change in city ordinance.This change will specify downtown Pleasantville as a business area and prevent future residential activity.
