After building the program back up over the last several years, the Indianola girls golf team is looking to build on the season from last year, where the Indians saw an individual qualify for the state meet. Head coach Rita Bunting tells KNIA News Maddy Wedmore left a lasting impact on the program

“I bring up Maddy quite a lot, and the current girls know from her that it takes hard work to get where shot got. It can’t just be a half hour hitting balls on the range or putting, a half hour after the official practice ended she was still out there working on her game, so that is the example I use.”

The Indians will get their season started on April 8th hosting Dallas Center-Grimes.
