The creation of a rental inspection program is on the agenda for Monday night’s Knoxville City Council meeting.

State law permits communities to adopt a housing code and create the procedures needed to enforce this code. If adopted, the city staff would be asked to create and recommend a program.

Mayor Brian Hatch is also scheduled to issue a proclamation recognizing National Library Week, which runs from April 7th through the 13th.
