Members of the Knoxville High School Science Club are getting ready for their trip, which will provide a host of scientific data and a host of memories for those who participate.
District Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News the club is beginning to plan out details for its yearly trip…and that she’s excited for them, and the experiences they’ll be having.
“Students who have been going for the last twenty years continue to talk about their trips. This coming summer they are headed to the Gulf Coast in Florida; so they will be headed down south to do some comparisons,” Pearson says.
“Last summer they went to Maine, and got to actually see the oceanside; and are going to take advantage of doing some comparisons on various different components both at the waterfront and just inland as well.”
The trip is scheduled to run from June 1st through June 8th, just after school is scheduled to let out for the summer. Pearson says it’s limited to Science Club members, but any student is eligible to join the club at any time.
