Twelve-year-old Olivia Harrington of Milo was recently named by U.S. Cellular as one of their 16 “Future of Good Under 16” recipients on behalf of the Autism Society of Iowa. Harrington was named for her volunteering efforts at a local food pantry, collecting Toys for Tots items, and raising money for the Autism Society of Iowa. Harrington worked with a local quilter to make a quilt that was later raffled, and earned $2,700 from local businesses. Harrington also spoke with legislators and Governor Reynolds about funding for autism insurance coverage and programs. U.S. Cellular selected 16 young humanitarians under 16 for the inspirational acts of good they do in their communities.
