The Simpson Storm baseball team split their doubleheader with Bethany Lutheran Tuesday, winning 7-6 and falling 15-11. In game one, Truman Schmitt hit a home run in the first, but the Storm fell behind early 4-1. The Storm scored four runs late on a scattering of hits to take the lead they would not relinquish. In game two, the Storm took an 11-0 lead through three innings, but would remain scoreless while their pitching couldn’t keep up with a hot Bethany Lutheran offense. The Storm sit at 10-5 overall now after scoring 18 runs on the day.
