The Indianola High School Band competed at the State Solo Ensemble Contest at Newton High School Saturday, earning several top placements. The Indians received 22 Division “1” ratings, 15 Division “2” ratings, and 3 Division “3” ratings. The Indians also received two “Best of Center” ratings, Kate Juaron with a piccolo solo, and Nate Gerber with a euphonium solo. Both will move on to play at the Best of Center Showcase at Iowa State University in May.
