The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday evening. During the open portion of the meeting, the board heard a presentation from the librarians of the district about what they do and how their job has changed over the years, and heard from FFA members and parents about the necessity of adding an additional ag teacher to the high school. During the meeting, the board approved the budget for 2019/20, officially reducing the tax levy down 80 cents to $18.49. The board approved self-financing of health and dental insurance, and heard reports on elementary school class sizes, and the curriculum, finance, facilities, and HR committees.
