The Simpson Storm baseball team traveled to Dubuque Saturday afternoon, and couldn’t come away with a victory after falling 6-0 and 3-1. In game one, Dubuque got up early 2-0, and the Storm couldn’t muster any offense to mount a comeback as the Spartans scored 3 more in the 7th to seal the victory. Brady Leonard took the loss on the mound. In game two, the Storm fell down 3-0 before they could get any offense together, pushing across a run with smart baserunning by Kolton Arnold after a rundown. The losses put the Storm at 11-9 overall and 3-5 in American Rivers Conference play.
