The Indianola Fire Department is preparing for one of their biggest fundraising efforts of the year, the pancake breakfast coming on May 11th. Firefighter Bob Soukup tells KNIA News the breakfast represents one of the key principles of the Indianola Fire Department, being open with the community.

“Our doors are always open, any day of the year. I can’t stress enough that the fire department belongs to the citizens of Indianola, and we are always available. We don’t charge for the breakfast, but we do take freewill donations, which will go towards EMS equipment. Specifically another Lucas CPR Machine. We have three ambulances, and we have two CPR machines now, and we’d like to get a third one.”

The breakfast is from 7-11am, with all invited.
