The Pleasantville Boys Golf Squad scored a 182 on the links in Pleasantville to beat Melcher-Dallas, Martensdale St. Mary’s, and Southeast Warren. Colt Stewart scored a 42 and was medalist while Issac Roe was runner-up. Coach Joel Allman tells KNIA Sports Stewart is doing exactly what he was expected to do, be that number one golfer for the Trojans. Pleasantville is back on the course Monday in a triangular at Honey Creek against Chariton and Centerville.
The Pleasantville Girls Track and Field Squad a third place with 90-point-five points at the Pella Christian Invitational on Tuesday. The Trojans got a gold medal from Kasey Pelzer in the long jump while Taylor Foley and Kaylee Hodnefield went second and third in the shot put, Sam Etinger was second in the 100. Pleasantivlle’s 4×100 relay was second and the 4×200 was third. The boys were 7th with 45 points. Grant Fouch tied for first in the high jump. The Trojans are at Central Decatur on Thursday while the boys head to Saydel on that same day.
