A slow start to the American Rivers Conference season continued for the Simpson Storm softball team Tuesday in Decorah, as the Storm were swept by Luther in a doubleheader 2-0 and 14-6. In game one, Luther took a one run lead in the bottom of the first with both offenses staying quiet until the bottom of the 5th where Luther grabbed their insurance. Emily Bell took the tough luck loss in the circle. In game two, the Storm bats woke up but the pitching couldn’t keep the Norse bats quiet as the game finished in 6 innings. The Storm are now 15-13 overall and have to climb out of a 2-6 conference hole.
