The Pella Opera House will host The Accidental Hero, a true World War II story of coincidences, plot twists and triumph appropriate for all ages and those who love history. The show will be held tonight at 7 pm. The Accidental Hero is the story of Colonel Mat Konop, with his grandson writing the script and performing. Col. Konop rarely talked about the war when he was alive, but 20 years after his death, his long-lost autobiography was discovered, along with home movies he took during the war. The result is a first-person, multi-media one-man show that has earned several awards.

Tickets for the shows can be purchased by either calling (641) 628-8625, visiting the Pella Opera House located at 611 Franklin Street, or online at www.PellaOperaHouse.org.
