Seven teams from Pella competed in the Odyssey of the Mind State Competition held this past weekend, with two local teams qualifying to represent Iowa at World Finals. This year’s World competition will be held May 22 -25 on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Over 875 teams from over 20 countries will gather along with their supporters to celebrate the creative problems solving.

Primary Division (Non-Competition division) – 2nd grade and below: Audrey Campbell, Caroline DeMuth, Elizabeth DeMuth, Ella Menke and Camille VandeLune. Coach – Tara Menke

1st Place State Finalist Team (Advancing to Worlds) – Emma Flanders, Ethan Flanders, Joeley Helle, Ben O’Halloran and Issac Van Vark. Coach – Kayla Flanders
2nd Place State Finalist Team – Anderson Bass, Anna Dobson, Addison Pogue, Aaron VandeLune, Jack Brown, Carter Menke and Caiden Tuel. Coach – Jason Pogue

3rd Place State Finalist Team – Aleigha Ausman, Camden Holland, Trevor Hundt, Norma Spiker, Tatum Tierney and Treyton Turnbull. Coach – Corey Holland
