Facing some of the top competition so far in the young season, the Simpson Storm softball team currently sits at a 2-6 American Rivers Conference record and will need to pick up some victories if they hope to make the top six and compete in the postseason tournament. The Storm have been swept by Luther and Central, while splitting series with rivals Loras and Dubuque. The Storm have yet to play conference favorite Coe College, but can pick up victories against Nebraska Wesleyan and Buena Vista. The Storm play Nebraska Wesleyan on Tuesday, after taking the weekend off.
