The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday evening. The board discussed the 2019 second semester class sizes, leading into a discussion of hiring another agriculture teacher to supplement the growing program. The board discussed the previous hire of another ag sponsor, and wanted to look at other options before making a full decision. The board also discussed lengthening the school day to comply with state rules on teacher intervention time, approved the employee handbook, issued certified teacher contracts, and approved a bid from Brockway Mechanical and Roofing Inc. to perform roof repair throughout the district, before going into closed session to discuss negotiating strategies.
