The Indianola girls golf team won first place in a Little Hawkeye Conference triangular Tuesday at the Oskaloosa Golf Course, edging out the home Indians and Norwalk with team score of 184. Point scorers for the Indians were Maddie Hayes with a 43, Anna Marvelli shot a 46, Olivia Mckelvey carded a 47, and Jaiden Wallander earned a 48.
The Indianola boys track and field team took home the team title at Carlise Tuesday, with 132 points. Top finishers included Dayton Mays taking home a gold in the discus, Kolby Kolarik and Tryce Kirgan finished 2nd and 3rd in the 100m, Logan Grover 3rd in the 200m, Wyatt Woodruff 2nd in the 400m, Jeb Borgmeyer 4th in the 800m, Curtis Johnson 3rd in the 1600m, Blake Kennedy 3rd in the 400m hurdles, Matt McKnight and Max Cleveland 3rd and 4th in the high jump, Andrew Lester 3rd in the shot put, 4×100 2nd, 4×400 3rd, 4×800 3rd, shuttle hurdle 2nd, and distance medley 2nd.
The Indianola girls tennis team took down Oskaloosa Tuesday afternoon 6-5, picking up four singles and two doubles wins. Winning in singles were Paige Biley, Miranda Murphy, Allison Coffey, and Anna Jordan, while the doubles victories went to the teams of Hayden Laschanzky and Payton Belt, and Hannah Price and Melina Darrah.
On the boys side, the Indians took down Oskaloosa on their home courts 9-2, as they picked up wins from Bradyn Upchurch, Christian Juaron, Ian Smith, Matthew Beals, and Joe Menke in singles action, while the doubles squads of Juaron and Smith, Beals and Menke, Tom Krapfl and Curran Wadle, and James Howard and Jake Brend all picked up wins.
The Indianola girls soccer team fell to Dallas Center-Grimes 3-0. Coach Mackenzie Stump tells KNIA News injuries to players expected to play significant minutes made the game tough. The boys soccer team fell to DCG 1-0, after the Mustangs went ahead with a goal in the 21st minute. The boys are back at it tomorrow hosting Perry, while the girls are at Des Moines Lincoln.
