Pella’s boys golf team won the Moravia Invitational Thursday, shooting 318 in a windy and rainy meet. Luke Galeazzi was the runner-up medalist, shooting 75. Trey Wood and Will Simpson each shot 79 apiece, and John Oltman carded an 85 to round out the scoring. No. 3 Pella travels to the Knoxville Invitational Saturday.

The No. 3 in 2A ranked Pella girls soccer team defeated No. 6 in 1A Nevada 2-1 Thursday night. Grace Held started the scoring for the Lady Dutch in the 31st minute with Career Goal No. 96 and Macy Schultz provided cushion in the 47th minute just after the halftime break. The Cubs scored with 15 minutes remaining, but only got two shots on goal after the Dutch defense tightened. Pella improves to 7-1 and is back to work Tuesday when they host Oskaloosa.
