Pella’s favorite flowers have reached peak bloom in the community, with approximately two-thirds of the city’s nearly 300,000 tulips showing color in parks, along streets, and near historic landmarks. Jill Vandevoort with the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau not only encourages visitors to come to the 84th annual Tulip Time May 2nd through the 4th, but to stop by sooner to see the flowers and experience shorter lines at local businesses. Vandevoort says those who want to plan their trip to Pella can find details at the Pella CVB website, visitpella.com, or at the Information Windmill in Central Park. The City of Pella Parks Department anticipates flowers will remain near peak bloom through the end of the Tulip Time celebration.
