The planning process continues for the Indianola streetscape project as consultants Bolton and Menk Inc. recently completed their meetings with the Indianola Streetscape Planning Committee, an advisory committee consisting of business owners and employees on or near the square. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News one of the biggest challenges is to work with the different entities on the square.

“We have to work with Warren County to make sure our design works with what they have planned for the Justice Center project, while simultaneously working through the budget processes to make sure the city is able to fund improvements. It would be our hope I think to get this done during the courthouse project, which obviously is going to take the next couple of years.”

A public open house where residents can review the plan will be held at a later date.
