Knoxville Hospital and Clinics will host the general public on Wednesday afternoon, as it nears the end of its assessment process.

The Community Health Needs Assessment has been in progress for the past few months, as the hospital sought to find out what areas it has to strengthen and what offerings health clients are looking for.

Now the public will get a first look at some of the information gathered during the meeting, which will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Learning Center.

Ginny Krichau with Knoxville Hospital and Clinics tells KNIA/KRLS News they have built up to this point by conducting surveys and looking at all aspects of their operations.

“And then at the meeting itself we’re going to do a little bit further assessing and go a little bit deeper with the folks who do attend the town hall meeting; and try and pull together some consensus on what the top priorities are in the communities,” Krichau says.

Knoxville Hospital and Clinics intends to use this research to help develop an action plan for Marion County, which would address its health needs and priorities.

The meeting on Wednesday is open to the general public, and no RSVP is required.
