The Melcher-Dallas Girls Track and Field Squad finished fourth at the Cardinal Invitational on Friday. The Saints set for personal records in the process including J’Lyn Knutson, who seems throughly unbeatable in the distance races winning the 3000 and 1500 with a PR in the 1500. DoraMae Bennett had a career long jump mark of 15 feet seven inches winning that event and finishing second in the 100. Haley Godfrey was right behind Bennett in the long jump with a personal record of her own at 14 feet four inches. The relays events of the Saints in the 4×100 and 200 finished with a bronze medal. The boys also competed at Cardinal and had a few good finishes. Ethan Harrington went six foot in the high jump to garner first place and brought home a third place in the 400. Emery Sage took second place in the 1600, and the 4×800 team placed second.
