The teams playing at home came out on top on the soccer pitch between Indianola and Grinnell Tuesday evening, playing despite April giving its last showers of 2019. The Indianola girls soccer team won 3-0, taking a 1-0 lead on a first half goal by Mara Cosenza, followed up by two in the second half from Hannah Alfstad and Mia Hughes respectively. The win ends a six game skid for the Indians, who will next play Des Moines East tomorrow.
The Indians boys soccer team did not fare as well in their Little Hawkeye Conference matchup against the Tigers, falling 4-1. The Indians are now 1-9 on the season, and will travel to Creston tomorrow.
