Five not-for-profit agencies are this year’s beneficiaries of the yearly grants provided by the Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation.

The formal presentation took place on Wednesday evening at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce offices.

The recipients include the Knoxville Public Library and its “Public Art @ the Public Library” installation, which will get $5,000 this year and next; the Knoxville Wellness Team receiving $8,000 for the Panther Park project; and the Knoxville Federated Garden Club, which will get $2,600 for two new benches at the butterfly garden next to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.

Also receiving grant monies are the Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department, which will get $5,000 towards the next phase of its trail project; and The Well, which will get $5,000 for renovations to its new center in Knoxville.
