Another Tulip Time is in the books, with thousands of people descending on Pella Thursday through Saturday.

The final day featured enormous crowds for the afternoon parades and larger-than-usual crowds for the nightcap after a performance by the Sons of Gladys Kravitz. The Tulip Time Steering Committee, based on metrics they developed over the past several years, estimate 180,000 attended festivities, with Saturday ranked among the busiest on record according to the group. An estimated 175,000 were in Pella in 2018, and 2017 saw close to 200,000 guests.
