The Indianola boys soccer team took down Winterset Monday evening 2-0, braving the rain to complete the contest on their home pitch. The teams were scoreless well into the second half before Peyton Boozell and Carter Bussanmus added two late goals in the 78th and 79th minute respectively to put the Indians on top. Indianola is now on a two game winning streak, and will next play today hosting Oskaloosa.
The Indianola girls tennis team placed 3rd in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet at Grinnell High School. Top finishes on the day included a 1st place finish for Allison Coffey in flight 2 singles, Ellie Blosser 3rd in flight 1 singles, Paige Bily and Miranda Murphy placed 4th in flight 1 doubles, while Melina Darrah and Katie Thessen placed 6th in flight 2 doubles.
The boys tennis squad placed 4th in conference play at Pella High School. Bradyn Upchurch and Colton Miller placed 4th in 1st and 2nd singles respectively, as well as the team of Christian Jauron and Ian Smith also placing 4th with the duo of Matthew Beals and Joe Menke placed 4th in conference doubles. The meet wraps up the regular season for both Indians tennis squads, who will compete Friday and Saturday in postseason action.
